Московський патріарх Кіріл Гундяєв пробив чергове дно, випустивши власну книгу на підтримку «священної війни» Росії проти України. Ця пропагандистська агітка має назву «Война. За пределами видимых причин и следствий». Видана вона в офіційному видавництві Московської патріархії (Москва, 2026. 240 с.).
У видавництві МП зазначають, що «книга першосвятителя Російської Церкви присвячена метафізиці війни». На її сторінках московський патріарх проповідує «про відкуплювальне значення та наслідки війни, про метафізичні рубежі та цілепокладання Росії, торкається расового аспекту війни».
Кіріл Гундяєв у книзі вказує на «велику відповідальність» російського народу «не ухилятися від історичного обов’язку бути переможцями». «Наше земне покликання — бути воїнами Господа, протистояти злу», — пише Гундяєв. За його словами, «результат війни визначається Богом, і перемагає той, хто перебуває на боці світла».
Пропагандистська брошура Кіріла Гундяєва обсягом 240 сторінок містить такі розділи: «Метафізична боротьба» (с. 5), «Духовна сутність патріотизму» (с. 53), «Перемога на межі неможливого» (с. 71), «Війна зі злом» (с. 83), «Расовий аспект війни» (с. 97), «Метафізичні рубежі Росії» (с. 153), «Церква і війна» (с. 167) та інші.
Серед ілюстрацій у цій книзі на стор. 236 розміщено зображення з іконою Богородиці та терористами т.зв. «ДНР», серед яких військові злочинці «Гіві», «Моторола» та інші.
З перших днів повномасштабного військового вторгнення Росії в Україну московський патріарх Кіріл Гундяєв послідовно підтримує російську агресію проти української держави та її громадян. У своїх проповідях він неодноразово називав її «священною війною» та «метафізичною боротьбою», оголосивши, що всі російські військові, які загинули в Україні, автоматично отримають «прощення гріхів» і потраплять до «раю». Задовго до війни, з початку 2000-х років саме Кіріл Гундяєв був одним із співавторів, ініціаторів та архітекторів квазірелігійної ідеології «русского міра», в якій проголошувався принцип відродження РФ як імперії та обґрунтовувалися територіальні претензії Росії на землі України та інших пострадянських незалежних держав. Саме ця ідеологія була закладена в обгрунтування війни Росії проти України.
По суті, московський патріарха Кіріл Гундяєв перетворився на головного політрука кремлівського режиму, перетворивши і очолювану ним структуру РПЦ МП на державно-пропагадистський придаток Кремля.
Звісно, важко не помітити, як суттєво відрізняються заяви та висловлювання патріарха Гундяєва, який на кожному кроці проповідує єресь „русского міра“, підтримує та виправдовує криваву війну Росії проти України, від заяв і висловлювань Вселенського Патріарха Варфоломія, який неодноразово засуджував як квазірелігійну ідеологію „русского міра“, так і участь РПЦ у цій війні.
Разом з тим, нова пропагандистська агітка московського патріарха є черговим доказом причетності Кіріла Гундяєва та очолюваної ним структури до співучасті у розв’язанні війни Росії проти України та злочинів кремлівського режиму та російських окупаційних військ проти цивільного українського населення, масового вбивства мирних мешканців, знищення сотень українських міст, руйнування житлових будинків та цивільної інфраструктури України. Тепер це є ще одним аргументом і «речовим доказом» як для майбутнього Міжнародного кримінального суду в Гаазі, так і для майбутнього церковного суду над Кірілом Гундяєвим.
Єдине, що справедливо написав Гундяєв, так це те, що „результат війни визначається Богом, і виграє той, хто знаходиться на боці світла“. Справді, героїчний спротив України проти агресії путінської РФ для всього вільного світу набуває значення протистояння тому злу та біснуванню «великого збіговиська» «від меж півночі» (Ієз. 39). І у цій „метафізичній битві добра проти зла“ Україна однозначно переможе.

Moscow Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev has published a book of his own in support of Russia’s „holy war“ against Ukraine.
Moscow Patriarch Kirill (Gundyaev) has hit a new low by publishing his own book in support of Russia’s “holy war” against Ukraine. This propaganda piece is titled *War: Beyond the Visible Causes and Consequences*. It was published by the official Publishing House of the Moscow Patriarchate (Moscow, 2026; 240 pp.).
The MP Publishing House notes that “the book by the Primate of the Russian Church is devoted to the metaphysics of war.” In its pages, the Moscow Patriarch preaches “about the redemptive significance and consequences of war, about Russia’s metaphysical boundaries and goals, and touches on the racial aspect of war”.
In the book, Kirill Gundyaev points to the “great responsibility” of the Russian people “not to shirk their historical duty to be victors.” “Our earthly calling is to be warriors of the Lord, to stand against evil,” writes Gundyaev. According to him, “the outcome of war is determined by God, and the one who stands on the side of light wins”.
Kirill Gundyaev’s 240-page propaganda pamphlet contains the following chapters: “The Metaphysical Struggle” (p. 5), “The Spiritual Essence of Patriotism” (p. 53), “Victory on the Brink of the Impossible” (p. 71), “War Against Evil” (p. 83), “The Racial Aspect of War” (p. 97), “Russia’s Metaphysical Frontiers” (p. 153), “The Church and War” (p. 167), and others.
Among the illustrations in this book, on p. 236 there is an image featuring an icon of the Mother of God alongside terrorists from the so-called “DPR,” including war criminals such as “Givi,” “Motorola,” and others.
From the very first days of Russia’s full-scale military invasion of Ukraine, Moscow Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev has consistently supported Russian aggression against the Ukrainian state and its citizens. In his sermons, he has repeatedly called it a “holy war” and a “metaphysical struggle,” declaring that all Russian soldiers killed in Ukraine will automatically receive “forgiveness of sins” and go to “heaven.” Long before the war, starting in the early 2000s, Kirill Gundyaev was one of the co-authors, initiators, and architects of the quasi-religious ideology of the “Russian World,” which proclaimed the principle of the Russian Federation’s revival as an empire and justified Russia’s territorial claims to the lands of Ukraine and other post-Soviet independent states. It was precisely this ideology that formed the basis for Russia’s war against Ukraine.
In essence, Moscow Patriarch Kirill Gundyaev has become the chief propagandist of the Kremlin regime, transforming the Russian Orthodox Church Moscow Patriarchate (ROC MP), which he heads, into a state propaganda appendage of the Kremlin.
Of course, it is hard not to notice how significantly the statements and remarks of Patriarch Gundyaev—who preaches the heresy of the “Russian World” at every turn and supports and justifies Russia’s bloody war against Ukraine— from the statements and remarks of Ecumenical Patriarch Bartholomew, who has repeatedly condemned both the quasi-religious ideology of the “Russian World” and the Russian Orthodox Church’s participation in this war.
At the same time, this new propaganda piece from the Moscow Patriarchate is yet another piece of evidence of Kirill Gundyaev’s and the organization he heads’ complicity in Russia’s war against Ukraine and in the crimes committed by the Kremlin regime and Russian occupation forces against the Ukrainian civilian population, the mass murder of civilians, the destruction of hundreds of Ukrainian cities, and the devastation of residential buildings and Ukraine’s civilian infrastructure. This now serves as yet another argument and “material evidence” both for the future International Criminal Court in The Hague and for the future ecclesiastical trial of Kirill Gundyaev.
The only thing Gundyaev wrote correctly is that “the outcome of the war is determined by God, and the one on the side of light will prevail.” Indeed, Ukraine’s heroic resistance against the aggression of Putin’s Russia takes on the significance, for the entire free world, of a confrontation against that evil and the rampage of the “great assembly” “from the far north” (Ezek. 39). And in this “metaphysical battle of good against evil,” Ukraine will undoubtedly prevail.
